Staff Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment following a recent organizational restructuring. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and ready to grow within a collaborative accounting team.

The Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions including journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and data entry, with opportunities to expand responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare basic journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
  • Support high-volume transaction processing and reconciliations
  • Assist with general ledger maintenance and accounting data entry
  • Work closely with senior accounting staff to support reporting and audit activities
  • Learn and utilize industry-specific accounting software
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
  • Take on additional accounting responsibilities as training and experience grow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Exposure to retail, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments is a plus
  • Understanding of inventory, cost of goods sold, and balance sheet mechanics preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and learn in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience
